Love: The Answer to the Terrorist Question

The most common words you hear on the news today are either ISIS, Terrorism or Violence. I don’t know about you, but I certainly didn’t grow up in this hate. I was raised Catholic and went to a predominantly Christian school there was never any prejudice neither towards any religion nor from other people of different religions. As humans, we a born innately good, so the question that we must ask myself is what changed?

The answer is FEAR. The cause of hate sounds so simple in it essence from outside, it looks like all we need is a little bit of courage; if only it were that simple.  Fear is one of the mot destructive things imaginable, it eats away at your soul and destroys not only you but the people around you as well. Think about it, in a world that prays and hopes for a solution for all this anger why would people want to add to it. Fear makes people do irrational, immoral things.  Terrorist groups in the Middle East mostly fear of another Iraqi invasion situation and have focused on America as the enemy and on the other side, America fears a total domination of the Middle East on them.

We see all this on the news and know we can’t do anything so the next time we hear of terrible violence in the world, we just go through the motions.  We know we can’t walk into Aleppo and stop ISIS, but we can start a little more loving and  create tolerant future for this planet.  We  need to start loving each  and I don’t mean it in the romantic way. What I mean is we need to care about our neighbors and help each other as much as possible. We all need to stand together and stand for something positive. We need to start now before it too late and we enter into a permanent war zone.

In the end, the only thing that can defeat fear, hatred, anger and every piece of negative energy on this planet is LOVE.

So, let’s LOVE!
